Dietary Dining List your cafe

How we verify cafes

Most cafe directories die from staleness. Operators close, menus change, dietary tags get dropped, and the directory becomes a list of mistakes. We built this one to refresh itself.

  1. We discover cafes from Australia's domain index. Our crawler picks up new Australian cafe websites as they appear. Each cafe has its homepage read and structured by an AI extractor that pulls out menu items, dietary tags, address, hours and contact.
  2. We tag dietary options only when the cafe marks them itself. The extractor only assigns a tag like vegan options or fully gluten-free when the cafe's own menu or website explicitly says so. Reviewer say-so does not count.
  3. We re-check every listing each month. A liveness pass confirms the site still loads, the menu still shows the dietary tag, and the cafe still exists. The "Last verified" date on each listing shows the most recent check.
  4. We remove cafes that close or drop a dietary tag. If the cafe's website goes offline, or its menu no longer marks the dietary need, the listing is removed or retagged.

What this means for you

Every cafe on this directory has been checked within the last month. Where you see a "Verified" badge with a recent date, that is the day we last confirmed the dietary option is still on the menu.

No directory is perfect. If you find an out-of-date listing, please let us know and we will check it again straight away.
